The stabiliser link (also known as sway bar link or anti roll bar link) connects to the anti roll bar which connects the vehicle’s left and right wheels.
The anti roll bar structure between wheels reduces how much the car leans when cornering, keeping the car level and in control.
With a McPherson strut layout the stabiliser link connects the shock absorber to the anti roll bar, with a double wish bone it connects to the lower control arm.
The stabiliser link plays a crucial role in car safety by limiting car body roll and weight transfer during cornering. By keeping the car level there is a better connection with the road surface.
